ELITE League champions Poole have signed both Ryan Sullivan and Ray Morton for the defence of their title. Sullivan returns for a second successive season and Morton joins from Premier League Isle of Wight.
Pirates chief Matt Ford said: ''I''m convinced that Ryan will have an even better season next year and he could make a substantial improvement on his point scoring ability. We''re pleased with these moves.'' EDINBURGH have swooped to sign Rusty Harrison in a loan deal from Premier League rivals Workington. Harrison is the latest in a long line of new faces in a revamped Monarchs team for next season. The former Glasgow rider said: ''I''m delighted to be returning to Scotland and I''m looking forward to the challenge of riding a smaller track. I''m determined to get my average above seven again.'' NEWPORT have secured a link-up with World Snooker at the prestigious New Year Classic meeting on January 2. Fans attending the only outdoor speedway event of the winter will be able to win tickets for the Welsh Open snooker Championship to be staged at the Newport Centre on January 17-23. Wasps promoter Tim Stone said: ''This underlines the sporting links in Newport, it is marvellous contact between us.'' ALAN Mogridge has agreed a new deal to stay with Premier League club Stoke. The vastly experienced rider is a firm favourite with the fans on the Loomer Road terraces and joins Jan Staechmann and Robbie Kessler at the top end of the Potters team next season. He said: ''I like Stoke as a race track and hopefully we can put together another decent season for the supporters.''
