URGENT SPEEDWAY UPDATE
20 December 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

FURIOUS Oxford promoter Nigel Wagstaff has slammed radio reports suggesting the club have reached a new lease agreement with their landlords - and signed three world stars.

Reports have suggested that the Silver Machine will race on Thursday nights with Coventry duo Greg Hancock and Billy Hamill alongside Peterborough''s Lukas Dryml. Wagstaff said: ''I cannot recall the last time I felt this angry. I have only just found out that our landlords have received my proposals, never mind doing a deal! ''I can categorically state also that we have signed no riders - how can we when we have no stadium agreement?''
