SCOTT Nicholls has revealed how he has joined Coventry to try and win silverware. Nicholls was at Brandon to meet the fans on Saturday after leaving his hometown club Ipswich with a transfer fee still to be agreed.

He said: ''I haven''t won anything with Ipswich for a while and this is a new lease of life for me. Coventry are putting together a very exciting team.''

EASTBOURNE boss Jon Cook has revealed the main ingredient behind the club'' s team building - riders who want to race for the club. He said: ''I am putting together a team which will be exciting and provide our fans will plenty of entertainment. ''But we also have a group of riders who want to ride for Eastbourne and that is the essential factor for me. I feel quietly confident for next season.''

OXFORD boss Nigel Wagstaff has revealed how a delay in sending paperwork to the Cowley Stadium landlords is the reason why no new lease is in place yet. Wagstaff is making good progress with his team plans but needs a new agreement with the GRA. He said: ''The paperwork was delayed so hopefully things will start moving fairly soon. I can understand people''s frustration, I feel the same.''

CHRISTIAN Henry wants a return to the Premier League next season. Edinburgh''s Australian rider stayed in his home country to save and rebuild his machinery last season. He said: ''I didn''t do myself justice in 2003 and I decided to stay at home this year. I feel better prepared than ever to return and do a good job for somebody, I''m just waiting for the phone to ring.''
