BRILLIANT Brazilian Antonio Lindback has ended speculation over his future by agreeing a new deal with Elite League champions Poole.

Lindback will also race in the Swedish League and the Grand Prix series and there were fears he would sit out British racing. But Pirates boss Matt Ford said: ''We understood where he was coming from and didn''t rush him. Now we''re delighted to have him back with us.''

NEWPORT have announced their first new signing for 2005 with the experienced Neil Collins moving to the Hayley Stadium. Collins, who rode for Somerset last season, joins on loan from Stoke and is expected to add strength to the Wasps'' middle order next year. Promoter Tim Stone said: ''It''s a marvellous addition for the club. He will do a very valuable job for us, I feel sure of that.''

WORKINGTON have confirmed the signing of former Rye House rider Scott Robson. New Comets boss Graham Drury was looking for a rider to bolster the top end of his team following the departure of Simon Stead to Belle Vue. Drury said: ''Scott is the ideal signing, he will give us total effort and should be good for points both home and away which is an important factor.''

SOMERSET have confirmed the return of Jamie Smith for a second successive season at the Oak Tree Arena. Smith, who started his career in the Conference League at the club, insists a return to the Rebels was always his first choice. He said: ''I always wanted to go back there, the fans are brilliant with me and I feel very settled. I want to do well for them.''
