PETER Karlsson is back in the Elite League - with one of his former clubs. Karlsson, a world cup winner with Sweden in August, has rejoined Peterborough to boost the top end of their team.
Panthers boss Trevor Swales said: ''Peter was one of my first choices. He''s a world class rider who isn''t in the Grand Prix which suits me fine and I would like to thank Wolverhampton for their co-operation.'' POPULAR Russian Roman Povazhny will be back in Arena Essex colours next season. The former Eastbourne man moved to Purfleet as a replacement for Kelvin Tatum who retired due to a hip injury. Hammers boss Ronnie Russell said: ''Roman is a capable rider who always puts on a good show for the supporters and we''re pleased to have him back. He will prove to be an important team member.'' NEWCASTLE have swooped to sign former Glasgow rider James Grieves in a loan deal from Elite League Wolverhampton. Grieves joins Josef Franc and Phil Morris in a new-look Diamonds side looking to erase the memory of a nightmare 2004. Diamonds boss George English said: ''James has a good record at Brough Park and he will be an important team member. We''re pleased to have him on board.'' OLIVER Allen has described his move to King''s Lynn as ''a dream come true''. Allen, born and bred in nearby Norwich, has revealed how he was a Stars fan as a youngster. He said: ''I''ve watched world stars like Henka Gustafsson, Bobby Ott and Mark Loram riding for the club so I''m thrilled to become a part of it. I''m a born racer and want to prove that to the Stars supporters.''
