SPEEDWAY NEWS 12.12.04
12 December 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

POLISH star Piotr Protasiewicz will be back in the Elite League in 2005 after agreeing to join Ipswich.

Protasiewicz last rode in the UK for Peterborough, and joins Hans Andersen at the top of the Witches order with rider-manager Chris Louis expected to sign soon. Louis said: ''I can assure the fans I will be riding in 2005, there are no problems, the paperwork has simply not been completed yet.''

RONNIE Correy will make an emotional return to Wolverhampton next season - over four years after retiring due to a serious wrist injury. Correy returned to the sport for a brief spell with Belle Vue late in 2004, but will be back with his parent club next year. Wolves promoter Chris Van Straaten said: ''This is no short-term return for Ronnie, he is looking at doing another two or three seasons.''
