WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
12 December 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

RONNIE Correy has agreed terms for an emotional return to Wolverhampton - after coming out of retirement last season.

The popular Californian last rode for the Monmore Green club in 2000 when he suffered a serious wrist injury. But he was tempted out of retirement for a short spell at Belle Vue last season and has now pledged his immediate future to Wolves. Promoter Chris Van Straaten said: ''Make no mistake, this is no short-term return for Ronnie. ''He has a family in this country now and is looking at doing another two or three seasons. He feels like he is coming home to ride for us. ''Both Peter Adams (team manager) and myself were amazed by the success of his comeback last season.''
