SHEFFIELD SPEEDWAY
09 December 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SHEFFIELD have agreed terms with Canadian youngster Kyle Legault - but they are still waiting for the paperwork to be returned by the rider.

The club are, therefore, not in a position to confirm the signing of the rider until the contract is signed, sealed and delivered. Legault would come to the club on a four-point average as he is s student in Canada. Confusion crept into the deal when he announced on his own website that he had agreed a deal to ride for the Isle of Wight in 2005. But Tigers co-promoter Neil Machin claims a deal has been agreed and he doesn''t anticipate any last minute problems. He said: ''I can confirm that we have agreed financial terms with Kyle Legault for next season but we are still waiting for a response with the paperwork. ''I don''t like talking about signings until they are completed and this signing is not completed but the speculation has become quite intense. ''He is very keen to do well and we have already sorted him out with some accomodation with Richard Hall and his family.''
