FOGGY AND CO CONVOY THROUGH LONDON
27 June 2004 - Footman James & Co Ltd
Over £26,000 raised in NSPCC ride. The second annual Footman James-sponsored Parliamentary Review Ride took place on Saturday, and over 300 hundred bikers took to the streets of London to join in the fun.
Led by four-times World Superbike champ Carl Fogarty – who rode the new PETRONAS FP1 road bike for its first appearance outside Malaysia, the Met-Police-led-convoy cruised from London’s Ace Café to complete the fifteen mile journey to the Houses of Parliament. The convoy raised over £26,000 for the NSPCC thanks to pledges from the bikers involved. Carl Fogarty, leader of the pack, said “It was a great feeling cruising across the City with so many people, especially literally stopping the traffic with the Met Police escort. I was known as King Carl when I was racing, and it certainly felt like that today! I’d like to thank all the riders for taking part.” Photo caption (L-R): Steve Norris MP, Carl Fogarty and the Footman James team outside the Houses of Parliament.
