WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
06 December 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association
DANIEL Nermark has spoken for the first time since completing a loan move to Premier League Edinburgh.
The popular Wolverhampton rider is keen to get back on a bike after missing much of last season through injury and he is happy to line up for the Monarchs. He said: ''After I got out of hospital my goal was to get back to racing and that has kept me going. I’m getting much nearer to it now. ''Every other rider is pretty bored because they have been racing all season, but I have been standing on the side so I want to start racing again! ''I haven’t been racing in a while, and I have never been to Edinburgh, but everyone I have been speaking to says Edinburgh is a pretty good race track. I am looking forward to it. ''I’ll be busy in the next couple of months training a bit harder to get my fitness right, but I have the time on my side now. ''I have a contract with my Swedish club Vargarna, that it the only other racing I will be doing in 2005. I rode in Poland before and that is where I was injured but I think I will just do Sweden and Scotland for now. ''I have of course read about the rivalries with Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland so I am looking forward to these matches. ''And I read too that we will be racing Rye House in the Knockout Cup, I hope we will do well in that. I am quite used to the small tracks having raced for Wolverhampton and Ipswich. ''I had two new bikes in England last season and I only did about ten meetings on them so they are ready for next season. I’ve always liked racing at Wolverhampton but things happen, and I think it will do me good to race in the Premier League. ''I hope to be in Scotland with my bikes a week before the practise so that I can have a look around. Everyone I have spoken to speaks highly of the Edinburgh club.''
