GARRY ON THE MEND
11 December 2004 - Foggy PETRONAS Racing

Garry McCoy has been told he can be up and about again in two weeks.

FPR''s new star was advised not to walk on his fractured heel for a total of three weeks.

But, after a week at home in Andorra following last week''s surgery to place a pin in his right foot, he expects to be walking again in time to return home to Brisbane, Australia, in time for Christmas.

He said: ''I haven''t been able to do anything for the last few days except catch up on a few Playstation games that I haven''t played for a while!

''I have been told to stay off it for a total of three weeks and I can''t even do any work in the water until the stitches come out. So I just have to have a heap of physio and rehabilitation work until I can walk on it again, when everything is expected to be okay.''

The injury happened on the final day of Garry''s first test on the FP1 at Valencia.
