OXFORD promoter Nigel Wagstaff is awaiting a response from the Cowley Stadium landlords about a new lease.
The Silver Machine have lost their traditional Friday racenight to greyhound racing and Thursday appears to be the likely option. Wagstaff said: ''We have sent off a proposal for the GRA to consider and I sincerely hope we can reach a suitable agreement for Elite League racing to continue at Oxford.'' SHEFFIELD have agreed a new deal with their inspirational skipper Sean Wilson. Wilson hasn''t raced for the club since April after suffering a broken bone in his neck but is on his way back to full fitness. Tigers co-boss Neil Machin said: ''Sean''s dedication to get fit and back on a bike is an inspiration to many people. We''re delighted to have him back as our captain.'' EDINBURGH have completed the signing of Swedish international Daniel Nermark in a loan deal from Wolverhampton. The Monarchs will have a new-look following the departures of Frede Schott, Rory Schlein and Peter Carr and further announcements are duo soon. Nermark said: ''I missed a lot of last season through injury and I''m looking forward to getting back into action, I wish the season could start now!''
