MAGNUS Zetterstrom has joined Premier League Somerset Rebels for next season.
The popular Poole showman was an inspirational figure in the Pirates'' Elite League and Cup double this year but now faces a fresh challenge in his career. He said: ''I aim to help Somerset to similar success to that which I enjoyed at Poole and I''m looking forward to what is a new challenge for me.'' OXFORD promoter Nigel Wagstaff will hold talks with inspirational skipper Greg Hancock this weekend. Wagstaff, who is still hoping to secure a new rent deal for the Cowley venue, is keen to keep the former world champion. He said: ''Coventry have indicated they may want Greg back, but so do we and we are getting together to talk about things. We need to be a major force next season.'' SHEFFIELD will issue a statement regarding the future of their captain Sean Wilson this weekend. Wilson, who is continuing a strict training programme after returining from a serious neck injury, has been locked in talks with the club. Co-promoter Neil Machin said: ''We have to reach a conclusion on this matter in order for us to progress with the rest of the team plans for next season.''
