BELSTAFF – THE FUTURE This is due to the changeover of brand ownership and the fact that Clothing Company have focused on developing a ‘fashion’ range in the UK for 2005. As Belstaff are regarded as one of the leaders in materials, technology and innovation it is felt, by Phoenix, that it would not be beneficial to carry on offering the current UK 2004 range into next year with no updated or new garments. Phoenix will, however, be working with the Clothing Company during 2005 to develop a motorcycle collection which they hope to have available for 2006. Commenting Sales Director John Wakefield said “Obviously our sales strategy with Belstaff will now change for 2005 and we appreciate that this may cause some problems for our long established dealers. However we will do everything possible to work with them to protect their business through this difficult phase so that we can move forward together in the future. Our Belstaff customers will still continue to receive a first class back up service and we look forward to presenting an exciting new range to them in 2006”.
