20TH ANNIVERSARY LIMITED-EDITION MODELS
25 October 2004 - Suzuki GB PLC
2005 marks the 20th anniversary of the ground-breaking GSX-R. The GSX-R series has evolved following the ethos: ‘Born to the circuit, returning to the circuit’; every bike in the family is designed for class-winning performance.
To honour the GSX-Rs’ cult following, Suzuki is launching Anniversary Editions of the GSX-R600 and GSX-R750. Both will comprise unique features to set them apart from the standard models. The new Anniversary Editions feature retro-styled paintwork and graphics, aping the classic looks of the original 1985 GSX-R750. Each machine comes with a unique Anniversary Edition key, frame sliders, and its own limited-edition serial number, mounted on the yoke. A coloured chain is fitted to maximise the ‘one-off’ look, and even the screen is subtly tinted. Important minor touches, such as the gold-anodised chain adjuster, further individualise the bikes, and their new, vortically grooved brake-discs bestow cutting-edge flair. Since 1985, Suzuki has continually stretched the boundaries of motorcycle sport with the GSX-R series. Worldwide Suzuki expects to have sold more than 650,000 machines by the end of 2004.
