POOLE have confirmed the signing of Bjarne Pedersen for a fourth successive season.
The former Newcastle man is the first rider named by the Dorset club as they defend their league and cup double next year. Pirates co-boss Matt Ford said: ''Bjarne is fast becoming a world class rider and I feel that he has an enormous part to play in the future of Poole Speedway.'' PETERBOROUGH boss Trevor Swales is still hoping to hold talks with Coventry asset Lee Richardson about a return to the Showground next season. Richardson has been linked with Swindon. But Swales said: ''I spoke to Colin Pratt (Coventry co-promoter) and as of Monday afternoon Lee had not yet been given permission to talk to any other club and is still one of the riders who I am waiting to talk to.'' NEW Hull co-promoter Dave Peet insists the club will be working to a strict budget next season. He said: ''We''re determined to put out the strongest team we possibly can within a budget. ''I''m not going into this blind, I can see where we have to improve things to make the financial position of the club a lot healthier and we will work to a budget which we feel we can afford.''
