NICKI Pedersen has revealed how he always made a return to Eastbourne his top priority for next season.
The 2003 world champion joins Adam Shields as a confirmed starter for the Eagles in their bid for the Elite League title. He said: ''I didn''t want to leave the club. I said to Jon Cook (co-promoter) I didn''t want to leave if he could fit me in once the averages were known.'' BELLE VUE will reveal the identity of their fourth signing for next season on Tuesday. New Aces chief Ian Thomas is close to finalising a deal with a rider to join world champion Jason Crump, Kenneth Bjerre and Jason Lyons. He said: ''We''re making good progress and we''re now in a position to announce a further signing which I feel will please our supporters for the 2005 season.''
GLASGOW have completed a deal for Paul Bentley to return to Ashfield Stadium next season. The experienced former Hull and Berwick man was the club''s top rider away from home last season. Tigers co-boss Gordon Pairman said: ''Paul was a very important member of our team last season and to be able to bring him back for next year will bring great balance to our side.''
