SPEEDWAY NEWS 23.11.04
23 November 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SWINDON boss Alun Rossiter has refused to confirm the signing of British Grand Prix star Lee Richardson.

Richardson spent last season with Peterborough and angry Panthers boss Mick Horton has claimed that Swindon have tempted him away. Rossiter said: ''We will be doing our business in the proper manner and I will not comment on speculation until I can officially confirm news on signings for next season.''

NEWPORT have opened talks with their top rider Craig Watson about a return to the Hayley Stadium next season. Speculation has linked Watson with a move away from the club but he met boss Tim Stone at the weekend. Stone said: ''We formulated our plans for next year, all the ''i''s are dotted on his deal for next year and there is one more ''t'' to cross.''
