SPEEDWAY NEWS 22.11.04
22 November 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

OXFORD chief Nigel Wagstaff has dropped a big hint that Thursday could be the club''s new racenight. The Silver Machine have been told to move off their traditional Friday night spot because of greyhound racing.

Wagstaff said: ''Thursday could be the best option but only under the correct circumstances. Everything has to be right for us to make a go of it and there''s plenty of talking ahead.''

WOLVERHAMPTON promoter Chris Van Straaten is expected to meet his manager Peter Adams this week to discuss team plans for next season. The Monmore Green club are almost certain to include David Howe but that is the only hint given so far. Van Straaten said: ''Peter and I always get together after the sport''s AGM and we will go through various permutations for what should be another exciting season.''
