SNAZZY NEW VESPA JACKET
22 December 2012 - Vespa
Full of Italian flair (and goose down).
Vespa has included goose down in the padding of their casual Piumino jacket for enhanced insulation. One of the best natural insulators available, goose down has a three-dimensional structure that creates thousands of tiny air pockets, which trap and hold warm air around the body. Combined with the elasticated cuffs and waist, it helps keep the wearer cosy on even the chilliest of days.
Goose down is also breathable, allowing water vapour to pass through quickly and easily, wicking it away through the filaments whilst retaining the warmth in the air pockets.
Because goose down is both light and resilient it can be stashed under the seat of a scooter or in luggage, adding minimal weight and bulk and will spring back to shape, ready for use when unpacked.
As well as being functional, the Piumino also looks the part. Three cool colour-ways, (white, blue and grey), with contrasting interiors and a metallic trim around the zipper help the wearer cut a dash on dull days. A subtle Vespa logo on the left sleeve adds the finishing touch.
The Piumino is available in unisex sizes XS - 3XL, at a recommended retail price of £167.99. For details on this and the complete Vespa official clothing and accessories range, call 0117 972 5552 or visit www.vespa-scooters.co.uk.
