SM EURO CUP: 4TH ROUND RACE LATINA, ITA Jose M. Louis Rita earned the leadership in front of Raul Castells. Both pushed eachother sucessful and they got a comfortable distance to the following pilots. Lap by lap, Estherbauer got back to his great performance and overtook rider by rider. Hannes Maier were the only pilot who could reach the two leading pilots during the race. By a very spectacular manouvre he attacked at first Castells, a few seconds later Rita with success. Maier crossed the finish line at first, followed by Castells, Rita, Barbiero and Comotti. Estherbauer reached after a very spectacular race position six. In heat number two at sunday morning, Estherbauer won the start again and rode in front for four laps. Castells right behind him in position to overtake at the right moment. One lap later, the leading rider was Luca de Angelis after crossing the Off Road part. Castells were third, Estherbauer sixth. What happend? Estherbauer got into some trouble at the dirt section, Castells crashed in his teammate and both lost important time. The Austrian starts again a spectacular and exciting race. He won again and saved his victory at the finish line in front of de Angelis, Castells, Rita, Kraus and Codina. At the third start, Estherbauer went into the footsteps of Thierry van den Bosch. He used his pole position well and kept the leading position until the finishline. The Spanish rider Rita fighted without mistakes and reached second place. de Angelis, Maier und Castells were involved in a battle by position three. Finally Castells were the lucky one and took the third place at the podium. de Angelis and Maier followed on position four and five. Race 1 Race 2 Race 3 Meisterschaftsstand
