PETERBOROUGH boss Trevor Swales has confirmed that British Grand Prix star Lee Richardson is in his plans for next season.

He said: ''Lee is heavily in my plans for next season, but he is not our rider so I haven''t spoken to him yet. ''I''ve spoken to Colin Pratt at Coventry and he hasn''t decided yet - he is waiting until after the Conference to decide whether he wants to use him or not.''

STOKE have announced popular Dane Jan Staechmann as their first signing for 2005 - his fifth successive season with the Loomer Road outfit. He said: ''This is really good news for me and I''m more than happy that everything has been sorted out so early. ''This is my local track and I''m really pleased with the promotion, the way the club is going, the sponsors and the supporters.''
