WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
12 November 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

DANIEL Nermark will enter hospital later this month to have metalwork removed from his legs.

The brave Wolverhampton rider, who crashed and broke both thighs during a meeting in Poland in May, has amazed doctors in Sweden with his recovery. Wolverhampton promoter Chris Van Straaten said: ''It just underlines the determination of the man and I was astounded when he called me and told me the news. ''It''s only a relatively short amount of time since he was in a wheelchair and yet, here he is, preparing to take the final steps towards a comeback.'' Nermark was a popular visitor to the club''s presentation night when he was given a standing ovation.
