SPEEDWAY NEWS 12.11.04
12 November 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

EXETER will ride on for one final season at their historic County Ground venue as they await construction of a new track at Westpoint.

The Falcons'' future had been doubt due to the stadium redevelopment plans of the rugby club, but these have been abandoned. Promoter David Short said: ''The Falcons can continue to race in the Premier League while the planning application is processed and the new stadium built.''

SHEFFIELD promoter Neil Machin has once again played down speculation linking the Tigers with a move into the Elite League. Machin said: ''Despite what I say to the contrary, I''m aware that speculation continues and there is absolutely nothing I can do about that. ''At this stage there is nothing further to report on the matter and we are planning for Premier League racing next season.''
