MX2 KTM RIDERS’ STATE OF HEALTH
05 November 2004 - KTM-Sportmotorcycles AG
Finally we can give comforting news about Marc de Reuver’s state of health.
After the big crash in Veldhoven (NL), on 10th October, Marc received a brain contusion and some small bleeding in his brain causing the paralysis in some particular muscles groups of his right leg. Now he is nearly fully recovered and in three weeks he’ll be able to start some physical training and at the beginning of January he’ll be able to ride his bike again! Quite good news also for our youngest rider Tyla Rattray who dislocated the same shoulder he already dislocated (before the GP in Namur) last weekend in Genoa Supercross. He had some scans and some other types of special x-rays and the Doctor could see that the capsule has moved and some ligaments are stretched, so he suggested to Tyla to have an operation. The operation will take about 1hr 30min, the damage will be repaired and the capsule will be reattached. He will have 3 weeks in a sling and after those 3 weeks he can start normal movement, hopefully after 2 months from the operation, he will be able to start riding again.
