STAR RACER ''SHAKES'' UP THE SHOW
10 November 2004 - MCI Exhibitions Ltd
One-time British Superbike Champion, two-time World Superbike race winner and current MotoGP racer Shane ''Shakey'' Byrne exclusively launched his own range of clothing at today''s International Motorcycle & Scooter Show.
The range, including long and short sleeved tees, carries his famous 67 logo, the same design used on his race helmet. ''The idea was to design a simple range of casual clothing that would appeal to all. Long and short sleeve tees are just the first stage as I plan to add fleeces, caps and accessories to the collection.'' ''Launching it here at the show has given me the chance to personally meet the fans and the people who will be wearing the product.'' The product is flying off his show stand and ''Shakey'' is already in talks with a number of independent retailers but for now the full range can be found on his website www.shakey.com With over 300 stands, 56,500 square meters of space in seven halls and over 1000 motorcycles and scooters on display, this year''s show is the biggest yet. With a range of have-a-go features, including mini motos, outdoor KTM supermotos and Try a Scooter, the show is also the most interactive ever.
