JAMES TOSELAND AT BMF TAIL END MOTORCYCLE SHOW
07 August 2008 - BMF

Stunt legend Eddie Kidd will also be making a guest appearance

Usually referred to as the BMF’s ‘end of season party’, the big news this year is that James Toseland, World Superbike Champion and Moto GP contender, will be taking a break from Moto GP and squeezing in an appearance at Tail End with his band ‘Crash’!

Not only will he be playing to those who’ve camped over the Saturday night, James will also be making an appearance in the main arena and will be signing autographs on the day.

One of the more laid back events in the BMF calendar, Tail End plays host to an array of arena action and more live music than any of our other shows. The ever-popular Battle of the Bands runs on Saturday and exclusively for those camping, crazy locals ‘League of Mental Men’ kick things off on Friday night with campers again benefiting when James and Crash appear on the Saturday night.

No Tail End event would be complete without Moped Enduro and the second leg of the annual Moped Enduro Challenge will be staged in the arena with the winners being the first to receive the Allan Robinson Memorial Trophy in memory of the BMF’s late, great, commentator, who died last year. Also being staged is the final round of Short Track UK and the ever-popular Vintage Speedway.

Stunt legend Eddie Kidd will be making a guest appearance and participating in some of the thrills and stunts of the Over the Top Motorcycle Stunt Team, while tricks and big air are the format for the UK FMX Freestyle MX Team presenting some of the UK’s hottest FMX riders in an airborne action-packed spectacular.

Music is now a big feature of Tail End, and while the BMF stress that the live bands providing the evening entertainment are exclusively for campers; day visitors do get to hear the Battle of the Bands. Eight up and coming bands are wanted to play in front of the crowds with the winner being given the opening slot at next year’s BMF Motorcycle Show! Aspiring bands should contact events@bmf.co.uk .

Camping is open to all and includes evening entertainment. For newcomers, this is made easy through the services of Tangerine Fields who will again be operating their ‘ready to camp’ service. To book your tent and camping equipment in advance contact Tangerine Fields on 07821 807000 or www.tangerinefields.co.uk . The campsite opens at 2pm on Friday 19th September until 6pm on Sunday 21st September.
