NEW MOTORCYCLE SPORT BOOTS Best known for their no-nonsense all-season boots, Italian manufacturer Prexport has introduced a new race boot for 2008 that is waterproof. Like most modern sports boots the upper is made from micro-fibre material, with a Prexportex waterproof and breathable membrane laminated between it and the interior air-tech lining. These boots have a reassuringly solid feel, with shock-absorbing PU shields over the ankle, heel and calf, plus Texon insoles that are reinforced with a steel shank. Comfort has always been a priority for Prexport and the Sonic boots have padded flex joints above the instep and the heel, as well as stretch material at the front and back of the collar. Adjustable and replaceable toe-sliders are fitted to the Prexport pro-race rubber sole with hex fasteners and the Sonic boots have a simple zip and Velcro fastening system. Prexport Sonic boots are available in sizes 5 to 12 (EUR 38-47) in black. Their suggested retail price is £119.99 (inc. VAT).
