FARQUHAR CONQUERS COOKSTOWN
06 May 2008 - Q8 Oils
Great result in both races
Ryan Farquhar dominated the Cookstown 100 race meeting on his Q8Oils lubricated Kawasaki, winning both Superbike races and the overall ‘Man of the Meeting’ award. As the McAdoo Kawasaki team’s 2008 ZX-10R Superbike wasn’t yet ready for action Farquhar raced on his ‘07 machine. In warm and sunny conditions Ryan started as he meant to continue, winning the opening 10-lap Superbike race from Martin Finnegan and Scotland’s Keith Amor. Next up was the Supersport 600cc race, which Ryan started from pole position on the MSS tuned McAdoo Kawasaki ZX-6R. Following a poor start Keith Amor pulled out a gap on lap one, but Ryan got his head down and smashed the lap record on lap three. The lap record changed hands on a number of occasions and Farquhar eventually settled for a respectable second place, his second podium of the day. Then it was back on the McAdoo Kawasaki ZX-10R for the main event, the Cookstown 100 Superbike race. Ryan Farquhar repeated his success in the first outing, winning from Finnegan and Amor, thus clinching the overall ‘Man of the Meeting’ award. McAdoo Kawasaki have used Q8Oils lubricants for several years and this impressive start to the 2008 season on last year’s superbike demonstrates that Q8Oils keep high performance machines in peak condition.
