NEW SIGNING ON PODIUM ALREADY
17 March 2008 - Suzuki Racing

Brad Anderson makes a big impact for Suzuki in motorcross

Team Suzuki Swift’s new signing Brad Anderson started his and the teams 2008 British Motocross Championship off in style at the weekend, as the RM-Z450 mounted rider rode strongly to finish the first round with a podium position and a third place overall to his name.

Riding hard in race one, Brad needed a little time to settle in, before moving through the field towards the end of the race to finish in fifth by the chequered flag.

Even more determined in race two, Anderson stormed from sixth to second place, passing the regular World GP riders in the process, before torrential rain made the conditions tricky. Brad had to settle for the runner-up spot behind eventual race and overall winner Billy MacKenzie.

In the MX2 class, Suzuki’s officially supported teams were out in force, despite a few riders missing due to injury. Despite suffering from arm pump new MX2 signing Pascal Leuret, took an exceptional qualifying position of second, ensuring he was able to challenge for a top position. With a holeshot and consistent riding until the end, a third position was snapped up for the first race and a fourth gained in the second, leaving Pascal third overall on the day.

Young team-mate Elliot Banks-Browne finished the day in a promising eighth place overall, with team Suso MVR-D Suzuki rider Carl Nunn finishing 13th overall after a DNF in the first and an eighth in the second race of the day.
