FREE SHOW FOR BIKERS IN THE NORTH WEST
17 January 2008 - Ride Safe Back Safe
Lytham St Annes on Sunday 13th April
The 2008 RideSafe Rendezvous is hoping to draw more than 6,000 visitors to a free show in Lytham St Annes on Sunday 13th April, dedicated to all motorcycle and scooter riders. The RideSafe BackSafe Initiative, supported by Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety and Lancashire Police, working in partnership with organisations such as Greater Manchester Casualty Reduction Partnership (Drivesafe), KillSpills, IAM, BMF and MAG, is organising a family day out backed by a wealth of information and advice about road safety for bikers. What? 3rd Annual RideSafe Rendezvous Where? Fairhaven Lakes, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire When? Sunday 13th April from 10.30am until 5.00pm Why? Everyone is welcome, particularly those new to biking and youngsters thinking about getting their first bike or scooter. Riding instructors, Police motorcyclists and a number of other industry experts will be on hand to help with a simple message - Riding a motorcycle can and should be enjoyable, but as a vulnerable road user the correct information, training and clothing will make you a better and safer biker. Last year’s huge draw was the free stunt show in the main arena and this has been expanded for 2008 to include motorcycle stunt rider Dave Coates, the Xtreme Trials display team, Zero Gravity Freestyle Trials Team, the MPC Ural motorcycle display team and a demonstration by champions from the Straightliners Drag Racing Series. For 2008, the show will be bigger, better with more exhibitors, trade stands, live music and dedicated entertainment and refreshment areas to cater for all.
