Sherco Motorcycles has announced a new program for young trials riders to help them develop their skills in the sport.

The goal is to prepare them to participate in the Spanish Championship in the Junior and Cadet classes. This latest Sherco project is aimed at the 2008 season and has been designated “The Sherco Academy Cup”.

The young riders who are chosen for this program will enjoy several important advantages, they will be able to acquire a new Sherco motorcycle at a special price and they will receive technical support at each round of the Spanish Championship. Joan Pons will be in charge of this program.

All of the riders chosen for the 2008 Sherco Academy Cup will receive points towards the final classification. The best rider in each class, junior and cadet will receive the status of semiofficial Sherco team rider in the 2009 Spanish Championship and the World Championship. They will receive all of the important economic advantages associated with being a team rider.
