WHETHER IT’S BIKES, SPORTS CARS OR ROD & CUSTOMS, THE LEGENDARY STARDUST INVITES CLUBS AND HOBBYISTS TO LAS VEGAS FOR SPECIAL VIP CARE
11 November 2004 - Boyd Gaming Corporation

The Stardust Resort & Casino has a number of special programs available to national and regional clubs as well as individual owners and hobbyists with their collector vehicles.

The auto-minded program marks how the Stardust is giving “petrol heads” what no other hotel in Las Vegas can – a home away from home for their prized vehicles.

One of the few remaining nostalgic Las Vegas resorts, the legendary Stardust is a friendly facility staffed that understands the complex needs of club members and are aware of the special care classic and vintage vehicles require. Its now-legendary signature marquee provides a traditional 1960’s backdrop for photography of vintage autos and at the same time the resort affords guests deluxe accommodations with renowned restaurants, world-class entertainers and an exciting casino atmosphere to entertain club members when they’re not cruising the world famous Las Vegas Strip or scenic desert landscape.

Special preferred parking at the Stardust property is also available for clubs and related organizations. The Stardust can also reserve special parking space for group bookings. Located in a highly visible location so members and other guests can enjoy the vehicles, the resort also can make arrangements for 24-hour on-site security for members’ vehicles and trailers. Hiring local guardian services to police the parking facilities for visiting clubs is also available.

Visitors to Las Vegas are often surprised to discover that the roads outside the city are both picturesque and well maintained. Driving routes – along the winding two-lane to the top of Mount Charleston, through the high desert paralleling Nellis Air Force Base, or south to the Lake Mead/Hoover Dam area – can be developed by the Stardust staff to complement club activities. With most visitor activities concentrated in the city center, the surrounding roads offer an uncluttered drive with minimum traffic.

In addition to exciting driving roads, the Stardust’s proximity to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway offers clubs another unique venue at which to entertain their members. Clubs can rent the Speedway facilities for autocrossing and club racing or visit during one of the many scheduled motorsports events, which include the NASCAR Nextel Cup/Busch Series racing weekend in March. Another popular destination for visitors is auto legend and pioneer Carroll Shelby’s auto factory located just outside Las Vegas, where guests can take factory tours and take an up close look at one of the most famous cars in automotive history, the Cobra.

“We think Las Vegas offers clubs the perfect venue for their meets, concours events, and conventions,” says Tony Taeubel, vice president and general manager of the Stardust Resort & Casino. “At the Stardust we want to augment and expand the camaraderie of the club and enhance it with programs designed to address the special needs of car collectors and hobbyists. We’d like to invite club members nationwide as well as individual collectors to look to the Stardust for their next memorable automotive experience.”
