ALBERT CABESTANY FINISHES FOURTH
04 September 2007 - Sherco

The Sherco rider, Albert Cabestany, has finished the 2007 outdoor season in fourth place overall.

Albert showed good form all day and finished right behind Dougie Lampkin. The battle for fourth place overall was very tight and Albert managed to finish one point in front of the Brit to clinch it. Besides having to battle Lampkin, Albert had to fight against Takahisa Fujinami, who was trying to help his team mate, this made Albert’s ride more challenging on a day that was marked by the difficulty of the sections and the very high temperatures which were registered in the area of Sant Julià de Lòria (Andorra) which was the site of this last round of the 2007 Outdoor Championship.
Dani Oliveras and Christophe Bruand finished in the top ten in the championship, thus completing the first complete season riding the new Sherco 3.2 4T. Both of these young riders have confirmed that they will be contending for the World Championship in the future. It also shows that the 3.2 4T is a proven competitor.

The fourth place finish by Cabestany was not the only good news for Sherco, David Millan and Alexis Cervantes finished first and second in the Youth Cup which is a class for motorcycles with a maximum displacement of 125 cc’s. Alexis finished third overall and David finished fourth overall in the Youth Championship. Matteo Grattarola finished third in the junior category which gave him fourth place overall in the Junior Championship.
