03 November 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

EASTBOURNE co-promoter Jon Cook is planning talks with all of the club''s assets, and has hinted that he may recall one or two former Eagles.

Dean Barker, Roman Povazhny and Sergey Darkin were all loaned out in 2004 but could come into consideration for next season. Cook said: ''We wish to maintain our team spirit in 2005. We only want fully committed Eagles, that''s what the fans expect.''

JASON Crump has paid tribute to outgoing Belle Vue promoter John Perrin as the Aces prepare for a new era in 2005. The World Champion said: ''John must take a lot of the credit for the fact that Belle Vue Speedway is still here. ''I take my hat off to him and he can walk away with his head up. He took over at a tough time and did it his way.''
