NOW ALL SHE NEEDS IS A BIKE Helmets, leathers, gloves and boots are an increasingly expensive part of the biker''s kit. So it''s no surprise that an increasing number of bikers chose to insure them against damage. The problem is that many helmet and leather policies haven''t kept up with rising values, whilst premium costs are often too high. In short, they don’t do the job and they don''t give good value. Now Bikesure has taken the issue by the scruff of the neck and launched a new Helmet & Leathers (H&L) policy, giving great cover at a minimal cost. H&L costs only £20 a year yet gives cover for up to £1,000 on all leathers, including jacket, trousers, boots and gloves, and helmets (subject to a £50 excess). ''Standard helmet and leathers policies just don''t cut it anymore,'' says Robert Balls of Bikesure. ''Our H&L policy takes account of the typical value of helmets and leathers, delivering a proper level of cover at a minimal cost.'' Bikesure has a huge range of specialist policies for the motorcycle enthusiast, including schemes for performance and custom bikes, scooters, trikes, quads and bug riders. It is part of the Adrian Flux Insurance group.
