Kiddimoto launches official Mike-the-Bike commemorative Superbike in Hailwood colours

A new generation of children can take to the streets astride a pedal-free trainer bike in the colours of the ultimate racing hero Mike Hailwood. Kiddimoto, developed by Simon Booth, has teamed up with the Hailwood family to produce a limited edition of the award winning Superbike in Mike’s classic racing colours.

Only five hundred Mike Hailwood branded Kiddimotos will be made, each one bearing a copy of the famous Isle of Man TT Race Track, reproduction Mike Hailwood signature and information about the hero himself. These legendary bikes, made from birch ply, will be available directly from Kiddimoto (www.kiddimoto.co.uk) or selected motorcycle dealers priced at £99.99

The move to produce a commemorative Kiddimoto came when Mike’s son David wanted to introduce his own son to the world of two wheels and discovered this popular trainer bike. Safe and easy to use, these robust wooden bikes rely on the children to propel themselves, and they have become a firm favourite with Mike’s grandson, two year old little Mike.

“I am flattered that the Hailwood’s have agreed to let me produce a limited edition of ‘Mike the Bike’ Kiddimoto,” commented Simon. “Mike was considered the best motorcycle racer ever and it is an honor to be allowed to reproduce a bike in his name. My Superbike model has fairing panels, a sculpted tank and tailpiece and is beautifully finished in Mike’s iconic racing colours.”
